BRITAIN'S next prime minister, Theresa May, pledged on Monday to put government at the service of "ordinary working people", laying claim to the centre ground in an effort to heal rifts exposed by a referendum vote to leave the European Union (EU).
Mrs May, 59, is to become the country's prime minister on Wednesday evening, said outgoing Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday.
