Tokyo must join BOJ in growth push: Aso
Finance minister says the government needs to also carry out structural reform and work at stimulating the economy
Tokyo
JAPANESE Finance Minister Taro Aso on Friday acknowledged that the government must share with the Bank of Japan (BOJ) the task of stimulating the economy and ending deflation.
"The government and the BOJ share the policy task of ending deflationary stagnation and achieving sustainable economic growth. We do not intend to ask only the BOJ to resolve this," he said after a Cabinet meeting.
