Trump trade to reverse by mid-year: HSBC strategist

THE wave of euphoria over the US-led economic growth that has lifted financial markets, dubbed the "Trump trade", is due to crash against reality by the middle of the year, HSBC's head of Asia-Pacific equity strategy Herald van der Linde has predicted.
He also expects bond yields to dive to 2016 lows as a result of a debt-laden global economy and other structural issues impeding growth.
