THE pound and euro, as well as the UK and European stock markets all tumbled on Monday as growing numbers of nations restricted travel of people and movement of goods to and from the UK.
This after the discovery of a new and highly infectious strain of the coronavirus in the UK. As things stand, even without the new restrictions, there were already predictions of a UK and European winter recession.
