UK industrial production rose the most since September as oil and gas extraction surged and manufacturing increased for a second month.
Output gained 0.5 per cent in March from the previous month, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in London on Tuesday. Economists had forecast no change, based on a Bloomberg survey.
