UniSIM route to degrees for Earn-and- Learn students
Credit exemption, advanced standing offered; online courses for public also

INDIVIDUALS who complete the SkillsFuture Earn-and-Learn programme will be able to get credit exemption or advanced standing if they go on to study for a part-time degree course at SIM University (UniSIM), announced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam on Friday at UniSIM's 10th anniversary lunch.
That will be an alternative progression route into UniSIM's part-time undergraduate degree programmes, and will recognise the skills and knowledge acquired through Earn-and-Learn. It also means industry collaboration will start before students enter UniSIM, Mr Tharman said. UniSIM president Cheong Hee Kiat said: "This opens up more pathways for students to either get their degrees or advance their careers."
