US Consumer Confidence Index decreased to 117.9 in May

[WASHINGTON] US consumer confidence fell in May on a decrease in expectations about the economy, the New York-based Conference Board said in a report on Tuesday.
The group's index declined to 117.9 this month from a revised 119.4 in April, the private research group said. The median projection in a Bloomberg survey was 119.5.
