Water plants aim to be self-sufficient in energy

    FOR years, Singapore's water-reclamation plants have treated used water to get biogas, which is then used to generate electricity.

    Soon, food waste will also be put through this process to generate power, with the aim of making the nation's water-reclamation plants as self-sufficient in energy as possible.
