Workers' Party calls for referendum, senate to safeguard reserves
Sylvia Lim says Parliament should not decide such matters concerning the political system and state power

THE Workers' Party (WP), in rejecting the proposed changes to the Elected Presidency, wants a national referendum to pick between the existing system and a second chamber in the legislature which the opposition party came up with.
In calling for the referendum on Tuesday in Parliament, WP chairman Sylvia Lim highlighted two options that can be put to Singaporeans:
