World’s No 1 air-conditioner maker to expand capacity in India

DAIKIN Industries, the world’s largest manufacturer of air conditioners, is looking to expand in India as it responds to consumer demand for what’s become a necessity as temperatures soar.

Osaka-headquartered Daikin, which expects to make 10 million home air conditioners in the current financial year, said it is partnering with a Japanese design company to customise logic chips for inverters used in its air conditioners.
