Retired executive chairman of PwC Singapore Yeoh Oon Jin to join SIA board

THE board of directors of Singapore Airlines (SIA) will get a new member on Aug 1, when former executive chairman of PwC Singapore Yeoh Oon Jin joins its ranks.
The flag carrier stated in its regulatory filing on Monday that the 60-year-old will get on board as an independent non-executive director, and will also be a member of its audit committee.
Mr Yeoh is the immediate past executive chairman of PwC Singapore, where he had served more than 30 years at the auditing firm.
Presently, he is the chairman of Singapore Land Authority and vice-chairman of the Singapore Business Federation, as well as a board member of Singapore Exchange.
He was previously a board member of Jurong Town Corporation, the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority and the National Arts Council.
He also was the vice-chairman of the Singapore Institute of Directors, past council member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and past chairman of the Auditing & Assurance Standards Committee of ISCA.
