A place for kids to immerse in art

A NEW art education initiative is slated to take off on Nov 24. Called The Keppel Centre for Art Education, it aims to develop young visitors' interest in the arts through programmes designed to make art both accessible and enjoyable.

Suenne Tan, director, education and programmes, National Gallery Singapore, said: "We want to encourage children to use their imagination, think critically, solve problems creatively . . . and communicate. These are important skillsets for the 21st century."
