KAROLINA Pliskova was probably just being humble when she described her impressive straight sets win over Venus Williams on Sunday as being tougher than it seemed.
"The scoreline (6-2, 6-2) makes it look easier than it was," said the 25-year-old Czech star after notching her first victory at the season-ending BNP Paribas Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Finals presented by SC Global tournament.
