Andy Lau is as good on stage as he is on screen
The Hong Kong Heavenly King shows why he is such an immensely popular, award-winning actor and singer at his 4-night concert here.
THERE'S no question why Andy Lau remains one of Hong Kong's most popular and bankable movie star.
From slapstick comedies (Love on a Diet, 2001) to action thrillers (Firestorm, 2013), romance (As Tears Go By, 1988), dramas (A Simple Life, 2011), weepies (Lost and Love, 2015), arthouse (Days of Being Wild, 1990) and everything in between, he's nailed every role like a natural since the mid-eighties and continues to be a crowd-puller to this day.
As a Cantopop star, he's equally successful. He sold out his run of 20 shows for his current My Love World Tour in Hong Kong last year in a flash and pent-up demand for tickets led to them being re-sold for over 10 times its face value on the secondary market.
