THE self-driving car is here before you. It's just not allowed to drive you around yet. As the flagship of the brand, the Audi A8 has always been a tech trendsetter. The first A8, which appeared in 1994, was one of the first full-production cars to have a weight-saving aluminium monocoque construction.
At its international debut last year, the latest, fourth-gen A8 you see here was feted as the first production car with the capability for Level 3 autonomous driving.
