BT donates S$18,948 to Child At Street 11
NIRMALA Murugaian (left), founding director of Child At Street 11, was at The Business Times' office last Thursday to receive a S$18,948 cheque donated by the newspaper.
The money was raised at BT's last Christmas Auction event in December, and was officially presented to Ms Nirmala by correspondents Lee U-Wen (centre) and Jacquelyn Cheok (right), who are also the treasurer and the chairman of BT's Staff Welfare Action Group (Swag), respectively.
Child At Street 11 is a not-for-profit organisation and childcare centre that looks after the emotional, educational, health, psychological and nutritional needs of disadvantaged children aged 18 months to six years.
