THE judges have decided but the winners of The Business Times Wine Challenge - CEOs' Choice will be known only in October.

The yearly awards, given by BT in partnership with UBS, are for wines picked by selected chief executive officers. The CEOs have been doing this for the awards since the event started in 2013.

This year's selection kicked off on the evening of Aug 13, when 10 CEOs gathered at the UBS Business University APAC located at Command House along Kheam Hock Road. BT Wine Challenge chief judge Lim Hwee Peng and Les Amis wine director Timothy Goh walked the CEOs painstakingly through a tasting of 20 wines.

These 20 Judges' Picks were creamed from the Top 50 wines determined by a panel of technical wine experts led by Mr Lim. The Judges' Picks were made in July right after the Top 50 were selected from almost 180 submissions.

After careful consideration, the CEO judges - Orchard Turn Developments CEO Chris Chong, Luxasia Group CEO Patrick Chong, MyRepublic chief commercial officer KC Lai, Kwee & Partners partner Michael Su, Dentsu Aegis Network CEO Rosalynn Tay, KOP Ltd group CEO Leny Suparman, Transcenden Global CEO Alex Dong, UBS Wealth Management managing director and regional market manager Raymond Ang, Thomson Medical Centre president Wong Chiang Yin - and BT digital editor Christopher Lim picked 10 CEOs' Choice wines from the 20 Judges' Picks.

The results of the judging will be announced at an awards night in October.
