Cheaper strawberry delights for Valentine's Day lovers
Chicago

A mix of cool nights and warm days has created "almost perfect" growing conditions for the fruit, according to Kenneth Parker, executive director of the Florida Strawberry Growers Association. That's helping supplies rebound faster than normal after the usual winter slowdown for production. Prices monitored by the US government are set for the biggest drop leading into the sweethearts' holiday in three years.
