MID-Autumn Festival celebrations came early to nearly 20 children from Singapore Children's Society when Hong Leong Foundation hosted them to a mooncake-making party on Tuesday. Held at Orchard Hotel, the event saw the children, aged 9-12, decked in little chef's hats and aprons, having a go at making snow skin mooncakes in green tea and white lotus paste flavours.

They were a picture of excitement and concentration, as chef Lap Fai from the hotel's Hua Ting restaurant showed them the ropes. About 15 staff volunteers from Hong Leong Group member companies also turned up to help.
