THE party felt like a text-message bubble brought to life.
On Friday night, more than 400 people gathered here in a sleek co-working space near the headquarters of Uber, Pinterest and Airbnb to kick off the first Emojicon, a three-day "celebration of all things emoji". Yellow cry-laugh emoji beach balls bounced around, and princess emoji balloons floated above.
