Fuisland presses on in environmental, youth causes
ONE would be excused for thinking that Fuisland Offset Print (S) Pte Ltd does not tick all the boxes on the checklist for a sustainable and environmentally friendly business. After all, Fuisland prints books and paper material in an age when going paperless is the "in" thing. But upon closer inspection, that is far from the truth as the printer ranks sustainability as a key component of its blueprint.
In fact, it forms the very backbone of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. "Companies should all try to address the environmental sustainability component of CSR. It is important for companies to have CSR ingrained into their DNA because they are the largest emitters of carbon dioxide," Fuisland managing director Png Eng Lee tells The Business Times.
