Gender equality is good for business
CEO of P&G Korea says it is important to be intentional about promoting gender equality.
COMPANIES will benefit if they are intentional in promoting gender equality, Balaka Niyazee, CEO of Procter and Gamble (P&G) Korea, told The Business Times in an interview.
"Having women at leadership positions allow us to have enough role models for people to look up to, people to learn from and people to share experiences with," Ms Niyazee said, adding that having the right representation of diversity will allow companies to draw from different points of view, skill sets and ideas, which makes for better business.
Currently, the company has more than 46 per cent of women managers across its offices worldwide.
