Healthy food packs from the heart
Food from the Heart has included healthier items in its School Goodie Bag.
WITH more in Singapore making the switch to healthier and more nutritious food options, non-profit charity Food from the Heart (FFTH) has followed suit by including healthier food items as part of a revamp of its School Goodie Bag programme.
The programme, which has been in existence since 2003, aims to support low-income school students through the provision of monthly food packs containing 16 to 17 essentials. The packs are distributed to 5,600 student beneficiaries and their families from 28 primary and secondary schools in Singapore.
Said Kwa Eng Kiat, CEO, FFTH: "The School Goodie Bag programme has been privileged to serve the community for more than a decade, through our passion to feed the hungry."
