GO karting is to motor racing what mini-golf is to golf. It may have started out as fun, but has evolved into a competitive sport in its own right. Not to be confused with the more recreational fun karting, where speeds generally max out at 50km/h, race kart drivers have been known to exceed speeds of 100km/h.

With the opening of several new tracks in Singapore over the past few years, the go karting scene in Singapore is more vibrant than ever. A brief sojourn to the KF1 Karting Circuit in Kranji will show you just how vibrant. On most evenings, the circuit is teeming with drivers from all walks of life, some as young as six years old.
