NEARLY three in four golfers in Singapore last year played at least one round overseas, and MasterCard wants to do more to engage this golf-loving segment of its customers.

Debbie Goldingham, MasterCard head of marketing in South-east Asia, said on Thursday: "When golfers travel, they don't just play golf. They want to dine, they're looking for good accommodation and other entertainment options too. We plan on investing quite significantly across the board in South-east Asia over the next three to five years to cater to these consumers with a passion for golf."
