A COUPLE of weeks ago, I fell off a Tiger in Morocco. The good news is, it had two wheels and Triumph logos instead of four legs and stripes. The bad news is, I happened to be travelling at highway speed at the time.
After we went our separate ways, the Triumph ploughed off into the desert to die a violent death, breaking up into a hundred pieces.
For my part, after I tumbled to a halt, the first thing I did was to count the limbs still attached to my body (there were four), at which point the thought that pops into the head of every casual motorcycle rider who survives a major accident popped into mine: "My wife is going to kill me."
