"Hence, with limited visitorship and capacity limits, we now rely on bigger venues for visitors to roam around and enjoy the artworks.

"We are thankful that Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay is willing to sponsor the space for this show."

Twenty of Sim's artworks will be on display and the proceeds will go to his family to continue supporting his healthcare needs.

Melvin Lim, general manager, Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, Singapore, said: "Sim Kah Lim is not only well known for his skills in painting, he is an artist who was diagnosed with schizophrenia...

"We are glad that his paintings are exhibited at our hotel for the public to enjoy and we hope that by showcasing his paintings and sharing his story, we can help create more awareness of this disorder.

"It is important for us to support such causes, and we are happy to be given this opportunity to play our part."
