SONY Pictures Classics, the independent film label of the Japanese electronics and entertainment group, has acquired Equity, the first Wall Street movie in years to feature a woman in the lead role.
Sony bought worldwide rights to the picture, which made its debut on Tuesday at the Sundance Film Festival, the studio said on Monday in an e-mail. Financial terms were not revealed. Nor did the parties give a release date.
