Japanese bank buys tickets for staff, makes match day Family Day so all can attend

WHEN it was first announced two months ago that Japan would face Brazil in a glamour friendly match here, the management of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation's (SMBC) office in Singapore were inundated with requests from their employees who wanted to watch the game at the National Stadium.
The top brass at the Japanese bank, heeding those calls, went one step further by buying 244 tickets and declaring Tuesday - the day of the match - as the company's inaugural Family Day celebrations.
