Warner Bros posts 'Batman v Superman' trailer early after leak
[NEW YORK] Warner Bros. released a trailer for the upcoming movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" three days early after a version leaked online.
The clip features a one-minute voiceover about Superman's role in the world and then introduces Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, whose alter ego is Batman. The pirated version, recorded on a phone or handheld camera, included Portuguese subtitles.
The leak shows studios continue to battle piracy at many levels, from the unauthorised release of new episodes of HBO's "Game of Thrones" show last week to widely anticipated film clips for upcoming features. Warner Bros. still plans to screen the Batman trailer for moviegoers at Imax Corp. theaters starting April 20, director Zack Snyder said on Twitter.
Burbank, California-based Warner Bros, part of Time Warner Inc, will release "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in theaters on March 25, 2016.
