40 cellists play in concert supporting BT Budding Artists Fund

AN ensemble of 40 young aspiring cellists played their hearts out at the Stories from the Heart fundraising concert held at the School of the Arts and organised by cello collective Voice of the Cello on Sunday (Jan 8). The two-hour showcase included works ranging from Niccolo Paganini’s virtuosic Variations on a Theme from Rossini’s Moses, to classics such as Camille Saint-Saens’ The Swan, before concluding with an ensemble performance of the crowd favourite Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

All ticket sales from the concert will be donated to The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, which helps young people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds pursue their dreams in arts and culture.
