WHEN 2021 came and with it the availability of vaccines, we were hopeful for a turn for the better. However, the Delta variant came and now Omicron. The hospitality industry remained challenging as the skies were closed for most of the year, and visitor arrivals to Singapore saw a drop of 90 per cent compared to pre-Covid years.
