About Time
Dylan Tan
Bamford Watch Department (BWD) has been customising luxury watches for some time now but it was only last year that it was officially appointed by LVMH brands Zenith, TAG Heuer and BVLGARI as their official customiser.
The first fruit of that collaboration can be seen in a Zenith timepiece that has been given a makeover by Japanese multidisciplinary imprint Fragment. The BWD x Fragment Zenith El Primero watch will be sold in Dover Street Market stores in London, New York, Tokyo and Singapore.
Design-wise, Fragment's Hiroshi Fujiwara has kept the ioriginal steel case and bracelet intact but the dial has been radically cleaned up to give it a minimalist and vintage look.
