The bar's dual-meaning name hints of its mysterious experiences and playful cocktails, which uses molecular gastronomy techniques

    THERE is no sign, nor even the discreet logo favoured by some speakeasies; just an opaque shophouse door. One must trust the address, quash one's doubts, and open it.

    The guest experience at Entrance begins at the, well, entrance, says founder and head mixologist Qyo, who goes by a single name: "The moment they try to find the place, I want them to be involved in the bar experience from the start."

    Self-doubt is easy in Singapore, she says: "Am I trespassing if I open this very mysterious door?" But up the stairs and behind a curtain lies the reward of discovery, she adds.
