Guy Ritchie's live-action adaptation of the beloved Disney animated classic Aladdin, starring Will Smith as the genie, will hit cinemas worldwide next summer.
That's not all, as the Broadway version of the musical is also coming to our shores next July. Singapore is the only Asian stop for the English production.
Based on the award-winning 1992 cartoon, the stage adaptation made its debut on Broadway in 2014 and quickly established itself as one of the biggest new blockbusters in recent years.
The lavish show boasts a cast of 34 and a staggering 337 glittering costumes, which feature 1,225 different fabrics, 712 different styles of beads and almost 500,000 Swarovski crystals.
More than 30 containers of props will be shipped here to recreate the fantasy city of Agrabah including the palace of the Sultan and his princess daughter Jasmine, plus the Cave of Wonders.
Aladdin will play at Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands from July 21, 2019. Tickets from S$68 on sale from Sistic and the venue's box office.
