All set for Christmas

IT IS slightly more than a week till Christmas, and if you haven’t got around to decorating the home, don’t panic. House-proud homeowners and design stylists agree that “less is more” when it comes to decorating the home in a tasteful, rather than tacky, way.

Have a theme in mind

Content creator Geraldine Toh recommends deciding on a colour/style theme for the festive decor and sticking to it. “My husband and I set a theme for ourselves every year, and it has moved from red and gold, to green and gold, gold and orange, to red and silver this year.”

If you are going for a colour theme, such as red and gold, Toh, who also runs art and interior styling firm Ochre Home, suggests keeping it simple by limiting ornaments for the Christmas tree and wreath to gold baubles and red poinsettia flowers.
