An appetite for the macabre
THE pandemic may have sent even the spooks scampering for cover last year, but they're back with a vengeance this time. Business is booming for all things Halloween this year, with operators of scary businesses reporting brisk ticket sales and sold out sessions for all things ghoulish and fun.
In tomorrow's BTLifestyle, we look at how the local appetite for the macabre has grown, in tandem with an equally high rate of Halloween spending in the US and the UK. From Halloween Horror Nights with safety measures for both ghosts and people, to Dining with the Dead menus featuring creepy-crawlies and scooped-out brains, it looks like it's going to be a horrifyingly good time for all.
Meanwhile, in Design, we step into a 4-storey townhouse in Watten Estate that's both home and art gallery for the works of its surgeon owner and his daughter, both of whom are accomplished artists.
And in Dining, we experience authentic Korean dining hospitality in the elaborate menus served at Sura restaurant.
