THE stars are aligned to present a particularly strong slate of art exhibitions at various galleries in Tanjong Pagar Distripark this weekend.
From Whitestone Gallery’s sprawling survey of Ronald Ventura’s whimsical visual confections, to Singapore Art Museum’s (SAM) provocative sampling of artificial intelligence (AI) art foretelling a complex and challenging future, the port warehouse complex-turned-arts hub offers industrial-strength art inspiration for the intellectually rigorous and culturally curious.
The newest show to open is Ventura’s solo at New Art Museum, housed within the 20,000 square-foot premises of Whitestone Gallery on the fifth floor of Block 39 Keppel Road. This ticketed gallery space showcases 134 pieces he’s crafted over the past two decades, spanning various mediums including lithography, painting, sculpture and installations.
