Avengers-lookalike a thrilling ride

IT'S comforting to know that after the convoluted Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, not every superhero film is on a mission to destroy our brain cells.

Captain America: Civil War is as popcorn-friendly as Marvel Studios flicks get so our faith in the genre has been restored.

The film is also a dry run of sorts for directors Anthony and Joe Russo, who are set to helm the next two Avengers sequel, as they reunite the ensemble from last summer's Age of Ultron.
