NATHAN Hartono has come a long way since he took to the stage for ChildAid in 2006 - an experience he remembers fondly and vividly.

"It was surreal and one of my first big shows in a proper theatre with a capacity crowd - I was new then and used to perform only in community centres - and then suddenly I'm in this amazing venue with all these great performers," he recalls.

Now a household name with three albums under his belt, the Berklee College of Music undergraduate is no longer a stranger to the limelight, performing (sold- out) solo shows and at mega national events like the National Day Parade and the Youth Olympics regularly.
