PARTY AT THE PADANG
ART National Gallery Singapore opening celebrations
THERE are many reasons to be excited about the new S$532 million National Gallery Singapore, which opens this week and features more than 1,000 beautiful works by Singapore and South-east Asian artists. Its two-week opening celebrations include a carnival which begins on Friday at 5pm and runs till Sunday midnight. It will spill out of the museum and onto the Padang, with video projections on the museum walls and roads in the area closed to traffic.
