RACHAEL Yamagata must hold the record for the most number of times an international artiste has played in Singapore: Over the course of a decade, she has toured here eight times.
If you count her upcoming show, it'd be the third time the soulful singer-songwriter is dropping by within a year. She was last here in November as part of the line-up for the Neon Lights Festival and before that in June at the Esplanade, where the indie folk pop star will again perform next week.
No wonder she says the venue feels very dear to her during a phone interview from Woodstock, New York, last week.
