Jazzing up a star-studded night of nostalgia
Singapore
AT last night's Jazzy Business concert, presented by The Business Times and Showtime Productions in partnership with Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay, Jeremy Monteiro gave a musical tour of his four decades in show business.
Grammy-winning stars Lee Ritenour and Ernie Watts wowed the crowd on guitar and saxophone, respectively.
Along with Rahimah Rahim and local songstress Jacintha Abisheganaden, Hong Kong singer Frances Yip anchored the 1970s segment.
Yip delivered a memorably unique rendition of classic song Shanghai Beach. Organist Alberto Marsico joined Monteiro on stage for the final number.
President Tony Tan Keng Yam was guest of honour at the event, which was held at the Esplanade Concert Hall.
The concert is part of BT's 40th anniversary celebrations.
