Video games movie is pure guilty pleasure
NEEDLESS to say, nobody goes to an Adam Sandler film expecting a game changer - not even when it's about video games, which incidentally is what his latest movie Pixels is based on.
Understandably, the critics hate it but then again, they are not the ones buying tickets at the box office.
Pixels has made over US$131 million worldwide so far; respectable for something that cost US$88 million to make and has only a measly 17 per cent rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
