FOLLOWERS of The Hunger Games films and the books on which they are based will know that before the final curtain descends on Katniss Everdeen and her band of loyal sisters and brothers, a few issues need to be resolved. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 finishes the story arc of the formidable young she-warrior who serves as a symbol of resistance and inspiration behind a rebel uprising that escalates into a full-scale war in the nation of Panem.
The fourth and final instalment picks up right where the previous film left off and ties up loose ends in this dystopian science-fiction, action-adventure series. Over the course of the series, Katniss has proven herself beyond compare, uniting a host of diverse and previously subjugated districts against the Capitol and its dastardly president - an all-cruel, all-powerful ruler and master of the thinly-veiled threat. There will be blood, several gruesome deaths - and time for one final game.
Not the least of the questions to be answered is: Who will Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) choose once the fighting is over - and if she survives? Will it be Gale (Liam Hemsworth), her childhood sweetheart and hunting buddy, or Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), her lover and footnote to the 74th Hunger Games in which both he and Katniss emerge alive from a competition designed to have only one survivor - a turn of events that truly galled President Snow (Donald Sutherland) no end?
