Best Foot Forward

Winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Choreography, Kinky Boots is based on a true story of a man trying to revive his family's flagging shoe business. At his wit's end, he meets Lola, a drag queen and cabaret performer whose big feet need some sturdy stilettos. The two decide to team up and start a business designing and selling kinky boots. In the process, they become fast friends because they both have complicated relationships with their fathers.

The music and lyrics are by 1980s pop goddess Cyndi Lauper; the script is by four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein; and direction and choreography are by two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell.

Kinky Boots runs from Oct 5 to 14 at Marina Bay Sands' Sands Theatre. Tickets from Sistic.
