Dialect shows and more for senior citizens' arts festival
SINGAPORE'S only festival dedicated to the well-being of seniors through the arts will return for its sixth edition in September. Silver Arts 2017 will span four weekends from Sept 1-24, and is organised by the National Arts Council (NAC).
It is targeting 42,000 attendees and will involve more than 80 artists and art groups presenting 38 programmes across 20 venues.
This year's festival will feature nearly 70 veterans and senior talents - 28 per cent more than 2016 - and the diverse line-up will include a Hokkien music concert, a Malay theatrical play, a sixties English rock concert, and a reprisal of two famous monologues by Kuo Pao Kun in Cantonese and Teochew
