Monkey Business
Trust us - W!ld Rice's Monkey Goes West is an absolute hoot. A tour de force of low art, high camp and high fashion, it'll have you rolling in the aisles. Based on a 400-year-old, 2,000-page Chinese epic about the mythical Monkey King who journeys from China to India in search of sacred texts, the panto version is localised to centre on young orphan Ah Tang (Joshua Lim) who goes to Haw Par Villa and gets trapped in the theme park. Directed by Sebastian Tan aka Broadway Beng, the rerun opens at the Drama Centre Theatre this weekend.
