Oriental Delights
The 6th Singapore Chinese Film Festival (SCFF2018) kicks off on April 27 with 58 films, including 44 that will be making their Singapore premieres. Documentary Manfei, about the late Taiwanese dancer and choreographer Lo Man-fei will open the festival; while the Wong Kar Wai classic Happy Together, starring Canto-pop star Leslie Cheung who committed suicide 15 years ago, will close it. Also screening is dark drama The Bold, The Corrupt and The Beautiful, which swept major awards at the Golden Horse this year, including Best Picture and Best Actress (Kara Hui).
