Shenzhen is gearing up to be a hot destination: the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) just announced the WTA Finals will be held in the Chinese city from 2019 to 2028. But you don't need to wait a whole year. It is currently hosting Avatar: Discover Pandora, a family-friendly state-of-the-art interactive exhibition based on the 2009 James Cameron hit movie. Over 12,000 square feet of the Great China International Exchange Square has been transformed into the film's mythical world filled with floating mountains and lush plants that glow like jewels. Visitors also get to understand the culture, language and music of the Navi, the nine-foot-plus-tall humanoids who inhabit Pandora, through a series of interactive exhibits and activities.

Avatar: Discover Pandora runs at the Great China International Exchange Square in Shenzhen until April 12. Tickets from www.avatardiscoverpandora.cn and www.apaxtix.com on sale now
